Our Impact

At Navitas, we are committed to driving positive change across Africa through innovative energy solutions. By leveraging liquefied natural gas (LNG) and advanced carbon recovery technologies, we aim to power progress while minimizing our environmental footprint. Here’s how we are making a difference:

  1. Environmental Impact
    • Cleaner Energy Production: Our 20MW natural gas power plant provides a reliable and efficient energy source, significantly reducing greenhouse gas emissions compared to traditional fossil fuel-based power generation.
    • Carbon Recovery:We recover 48 tons of CO2 per day, preventing it from entering the atmosphere and contributing to climate change. This recovered CO2 can be repurposed for industrial use, creating a circular economy model.
    • Supporting the Energy Transition:By utilizing LNG—a lower-carbon fuel—we are helping to bridge the gap between traditional energy sources and a renewable energy future.
  2. Social Impact
    • Empowering Communities:Our operations create jobs, support local economies, and provide access to reliable energy, improving quality of life for communities we serve.
    • Health and Safety:By reducing air pollutants and recovering CO2, we contribute to cleaner air and a healthier environment for everyone.
    • Education and Awareness:We are committed to raising awareness about sustainable energy practices and the importance of carbon reduction in combating climate change.
  3. Economic Impact
    • Job Creation:As a growing start-up, we are creating employment opportunities in engineering, operations, and sustainability, fostering economic growth in the regions where we operate.
    • Energy Security:Our power plant enhances energy security by providing a stable and efficient energy source, reducing reliance on less sustainable alternatives.
    • Innovation and Investment:We are investing in cutting-edge technologies to improve energy efficiency and carbon recovery, positioning ourselves as a leader in the energy transition.
  4. Commitment to Sustainability

    5. We believe that businesses have a responsibility to protect the planet and its people. That’s why sustainability is at the core of everything we do. From reducing emissions to recovering CO2, we are dedicated to creating a cleaner, greener future.

  5. Our Vision for the Future

    6. Our work is just beginning. We are continuously exploring new ways to reduce our environmental impact, expand our carbon recovery capabilities, and contribute to a sustainable energy ecosystem. Together, we can power a brighter, more sustainable tomorrow.
