Who we are
Navitas is pioneering a transformative energy revolution across Africa by introducing Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) as a cleaner, more cost‑effective fuel alternative for power, industry and transport. As a Level 2 black‑owned African company, the organisation is strategically positioning itself at the forefront of energy innovation, challenging traditional power paradigms and offering a sustainable pathway for regional development.
Building on its South African roots, Navitas is developing a comprehensive pan‑African LNG supply network with an operational footprint that now includes South Africa, Mozambique and Nigeria. Over the next five years, the company plans to invest billions in critical midstream and downstream infrastructure – including import terminals, virtual pipelines, gas‑to‑power plants, NexGas transport solutions and CO₂ capture – to make reliable, affordable natural gas accessible to key African markets.
By championing LNG and integrated gas solutions, Navitas is driving multidimensional progress across the continent. The transition from high‑carbon fuels to natural gas and captured CO₂ streams supports meaningful greenhouse‑gas reductions, unlocks new industrial and logistics opportunities, and improves energy security for governments, businesses and communities in the countries where we operate. Through this platform, Navitas aims to help African economies decarbonise, remain globally competitive and enhance the quality of life of their citizens.
